Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), also known as poly (ethylene-vinyl acetate) (PEVA), is the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. The weight percent of vinyl acetate usually varies from 10 to 40%, with the remainder being ethylene. There are three different types of EVA copolymer, which differ in the vinyl acetate (VA) content and the way the materials are used.
EVA waterproof membrane is a kind of flexible sheet material manufactured through a series of processes including shaping, cooling, testing, bundling and packaging, with ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer as the main raw material, mixed with an appropriate amount of modifiers, antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, colorants, fillers, plasticizers, etc.
EVA waterproof membrane is featured by excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking, good toughness, weather resistance, low temperature resistance, strong elasticity, resistance to stress cracking, flexibility, high strength, small specific gravity, high elongation, conveninent laying, no displacement, etc. It applies to a variety of underground caves, tunnels, subways, municipal construction and other waterproofing and seepage-proofing works.
